This morning, Toronto firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze in a building at Broadview and Gerrard. The fire, located in east Chinatown, also caused the collapse of a nearby structure.
11 people were rescued from the fire that started at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while extinguishing the fire.
According to Toronto Fire Capt. Mike Strapko, the damage caused by the fire is, “at least a couple million.”
