Sleepwalking farmer’s wife found in hedge nine miles away from home in Cornwall


A sleepwalking farmer’s wife has been found in a hedge nine miles away from her home in Tregeare, near Cornwall a day after she was reported missing.

Joy Grigg was discovered in some greenery in Camelford by a member of the public after she disappeared on Wednesday.

Her husband Richard, 53, spoke of his relief after she was found.

‘It is so great that she has been found,’ he said.

‘She is currently in hospital, and we just want to get out lives back together and try and get things back to normal.

‘We are all very relieved and are very much looking forward to her coming home.’

Police launched a search operation to find Mrs Grigg after she reportedly walked out of her kitchen window while fast asleep.

Her husband alerted authorities after he awoke to find his 50-year-old wife gone and a downstairs window wide open.
