At least five people were killed and 87 others were hurt as the bus they were travelling in crashed in eastern South Africa on Saturday afternoon, local media reported.
The crowded bus crashed outside the port city of Durban in the eastern province of KwaZulu-Natal, the South African Press Association (SAPA) reported, citing local paramedics on Saturday evening.
Among the injured, 20 are in critical condition, and the death toll might continue to rise, the SAPA reported.
The bus was suddenly out of control as it was travelling down a windy road, and rolled over before impacting a house beside the road, local paramedics said.
Police was investigating the cause of the fatal accident.
In recent years, the deadly road traffic accidents have become one of the biggest killers in South Africa.
