3 Homes Damaged By Mt. Washington Fire

MT. WASHINGTON (KDKA) – At least three homes have been damaged by a Sunday morning three-alarm fire in Mt. Washington.

According to officials at the scene, the fire started at a home in the 400-block of Kambach Street shortly after 10 a.m.

The flames quickly intensified and fully engulfed the home. As a result, homes on either side suffered extensive smoke and water damage.

A mother and son were inside the home when the fire started, both were able to get out safely.

“Didn’t take long, either. She tried to get the dogs, but, they ran,” the woman’s brother, George Anderson, said. “Guess they were scared, but God will work it out.”

Officials say three families were displaced as a result of the fire.
